BIOGRAPHY
Dr Victor Kwok is a compassionate psychiatrist and medical doctor with over 20 years of experience. As co-founder and Medical Director of Private Space Medical, he is dedicated to providing empathetic, patient-focused care.
Previously, he served as the youngest founding Head of Psychiatry at a major 1,400-bed general hospital in Singapore. In this role, he recruited and led a team of psychiatrists and medical doctors, set up the psychiatry ward, and established a specialist Mood & Anxiety Clinic to raise standards of care. His clinical guidelines on insomnia and alcohol addiction were widely adopted by hospitals like Sengkang General Hospital and Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
Driven by a commitment to helping people struggling with eating disorders, Dr Kwok received the Health Manpower Development Program Scholarship from the Ministry of Health to train at Stanford Hospital with renowned Professor James Lock.
Dr Kwok’s passion in mindfulness-based therapy shaped his role during the pandemic. He led resilience programs to support frontline doctors and nurses. Dr Kwok also co-led the Peer Support Network for doctors across SGH, KK Hospital, and Changi Hospital. He was a member of SingHealth’s Joy At Work Taskforce, a high-level committee personally chaired by the Group CEO, to transform the way Singapore hospitals provide care for patients.
An award-winning educator, Dr Kwok was popular with medical students and won the Role Model Award for teaching from the National University of Singapore. He served as an adjunct Assistant Professor at both Lee Kong Chian Medical School and Duke-NUS Medical School.
Kind and caring, he was recognised with several service excellence awards, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award in both Star and Gold categories.
A strong advocate for mental health, Dr Kwok contributed to national initiatives, including a Ministry workgroup helping people with psychological conditions enter the healthcare workforce. He regularly speaks on mental health topics in local and international schools, voluntary welfare organisations, and corporations.
Dr Kwok’s insights have been featured in media, including The Straits Times, Zaobao, Channel News Asia, and CNA938 Live Radio. He has also been invited to share his clinical expertise in conferences both locally and internationally.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr Tay Kai Hong is Medical Director and Co-Founder of Private Space Medical. A psychiatrist with more than 15 years of clinical experience, he looked after patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD and a wide range of other psychological conditions when he was in public service. He established brain stimulation facilities in a general hospital to treat patients with severe mood disorders. He is also an expert in sleep disorders and spearheaded the development of sleep medicine services for Psychiatry. He has authored treatment guidelines and published research on insomnia.
As Director of Mental Resilience and member of the SingHealth Mental Wellness Steering committee, Dr Tay developed programs to build resilience and prevent burnout in healthcare professionals. He gave regular mental health talks to new doctors, nurses, grassroots leaders and the public. He has contributed articles and educational materials to The Straits Times, Zao Bao, National Council of Social Services and National Youth Council.
As Site Director for the National Psychiatry Residency Program, Dr Tay oversaw specialist training of doctors training to be psychiatrists and sat on the selection committee to interview candidates applying to the specialist program. He has taught and mentored many batches of psychiatry residents, guiding them in their medical training and exams. Appointed Clinical Asst. Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Dr Tay is a passionate educator and received excellent feedback for his teaching. He was awarded teaching awards by NUS and National Healthcare Group.
Dr Tay strives to go the extra mile for every patient. His kind and caring demeanour won over many of his patients. Their feedback and nominations led to him clinching the Star Award for the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards, and Gold Award in the hospital’s clinical service and patient experience awards ceremony.
Dr Tay hopes to combine the best practices from years of experience to deliver holistic and personalized care, grounded in scientific evidence and delivered in a patient-centric manner. Skilled in the use of medications and psychological therapy, Dr Tay believes in respecting the patient’s choice when it comes to treatment.
Dr Tay’s clinical interests include youth mental health, sleep disorders, mood/anxiety disorders and developmental disorders such as ADHD, autism and intellectual disability. He has published research on insomnia, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, neuro-stimulation, and presented his research at both local and international conferences.
During his National Service, Dr Tay was conferred the Sword of Merit Award during his officer cadet course. Dr Tay served in the SAF Psychological Care Centre and oversaw the Psychological Medicine Inpatient Centre, where he assessed, managed and determined the PES status of National Servicemen who experienced stress, anxiety and depression.
Besides clinical duties at Private Space Medical, Dr Tay currently serves as Visiting Consultant at the University Health Centre of NUS. He also supports clinical services in the SAF, at the Medical Classification Centre and Psychological Care Centre. He has designed and delivered mental health workshops to commanders of the Home Team, comprising the Singapore Police Force, SCDF, Singapore Prisons Service and Central Narcotics Bureau.

Dr Ashwin Chee brings a wealth of experience as a psychiatrist and medical doctor, dedicating over 20 compassionate years to the field of psychological medicine. His journey began with a medical degree from the National University of Ireland, followed by specialist training in Singapore, where he earned a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from the National University of Singapore.

Known for his kind and gentle approach, Dr Chee has become a respected figure in the field. His professional history includes significant roles in various large general hospitals in Singapore, such as the National University Hospital, Institute of Mental Health, and Singapore General Hospital. Notably, he played a crucial role in establishing the psychiatry department at Sengkang General Hospital.

As the Chairman for Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings at Sengkang Hospital, Dr Chee not only oversaw clinical care but also fostered collaboration among psychiatrists, psychologists, medical social workers, and nurses. He chaired training programs within the department and served as a mentor to junior specialists, embodying a commitment to nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals.

Dr Chee’s contributions extended to the LINK Program, where he served as the Psychiatry Lead for the mental wellness component. In this role, he facilitated the joint management of patients by specialists in the hospital and family doctors in the expansive North-East region of Singapore, ensuring a smooth transition for individuals with mental health conditions.

Driven by a passion for education, Dr Chee assumed the role of clinical tutor for medical students at both the National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS Medical School. His dedication to teaching reflects his deep commitment to advancing the understanding of mental health within the medical community.

With a heartfelt focus on First-Episode Psychosis, Dr Chee dedicated substantial efforts to Singapore’s Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP), providing valuable support to young individuals grappling with this condition. His expertise also extends to depression and anxiety, where he contributed as a compassionate member of the clinical team in the Mood and Anxiety Clinic at Sengkang Hospital.

Recognised for his caring demeanor, Dr Chee was nominated for the Service with a Heart Award (Gold) in 2022 by Singapore Health Services. Choo Ting started her journey to become a Clinical Psychologist, intent on creating a safe space for individuals to share their unique stories. She hopes to walk alongside them as they make sense of their present challenges and their own existence.

In the Australia and Singapore public healthcare systems, Choo Ting worked with patients of all ages. She has seen clients who are as young as 7, and as old as 90. She adopts various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy to help her clients. In particular, she has strong interests and expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapies.

With almost a decade of clinical experience, she believes in tailoring her therapy approach to individual clients, based on their unique stories and needs.

In Sengkang General Hospital, she helped set up the peer support and staff counselling program and advocated for the psychological wellbeing of healthcare workers. She also co-led a SingHealth initiative to empower clinicians to pursue value-driven care, with emphasis on measurement of patient reported outcomes to promote effective care.

Choo Ting has supervised psychologists and postgraduate students. She advocates for psychological wellness and has conducted talks, trainings and forums for healthcare workers and members of the public.

Above all, she values taking a dynamic and collaborative approach with clients. She hopes to empower them while journeying with them through their struggles, whether it is depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, or life losses and transitions. Dr. Farah is a clinical psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist with over 10 years of experience in the field. Having lived in Singapore and Australia, Dr. Farah enjoys working with persons from diverse backgrounds. She believes in a person-centred approach to therapy, and respects the individual’s history, cultural and beliefs systems. She believes that effective therapy requires building trust and working collaboratively in the healing journey.
Dr. Farah’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, sleep, chronic pain, stress, adjustment to role-transitions (e.g. NS, motherhood, retirement, empty-nest) or to health conditions (e.g. chronic conditions, unexpected diagnosis), trauma, and grief. Dr. Farah is trained in several treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Dr Farah works best with persons above 15 years old for individual therapy.
As a clinical neuropsychologist, Dr Farah has experience in neuropsychology assessment & rehabilitation across the lifespan (6 to 90 years old) for acquired brain injury (TBI, Stroke, Tumour), neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, IQ), neurodegenerative disorders (Dementia, Parkinson’s, MS) and mental capacity. She also provides cognitive rehabilitation and psycho-emotional services to support return-to-school or return-to-work efforts.
Dr Farah enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience. She is currently lecturing at a public university in Singapore. While at SKH, she was the lead clinical neuropsychologist and she provided clinical supervision to staff and students for assessment and therapy. She also developed and delivered mental health training workshops to Singhealth staff, and for members of the public.

Justine is a registered psychologist in Australia and Singapore with extensive experience working with children and adolescents, both in public healthcare and community-based settings. Through positive behaviour and parenting support, she empowered families of preschool children with disabilities at the Community Psychology Hub. During her time as a psychologist at KK Women’s and Children’s hospital, Justine provided inpatient and outpatient care to children and adolescents with a range of conditions such as tics, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, deliberate self-harm and psychosomatic concerns. As part of the multidisciplinary dermatology team specialising in supporting young people cope with atopic dermatitis and trichotillomania, Justine recognized the profound impact of these conditions on the development of self-esteem and identity. She worked closely with families and schools to create a more accepting and validating environment to facilitate engagement and change.
Justine has expertise in evidence-based cognitive behaviour therapy, schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and mindfulness-based techniques. She has advocated for the role of psychology by being involved in service development initiatives, research and giving talks to healthcare professionals and the public. She is also currently providing therapy to adults as a volunteer with a non-profit organisation.
Justine strives to use an open, curious, flexible and collaborative approach in her work with clients. She believes in helping clients to be comfortable with the therapy process. BIOGRAPHY
Dr Beron Tan is a clinical psychologist with rich experience in helping children, teenagers, and adults. He received his clinical training in Perth, Western Australia notably at the Drug & Alcohol Youth Service, and Royal Perth Hospital (adult psychiatry). He graduated with a Master of Clinical Psychology and PhD (Psychology) from Australia. In recognition of his outstanding academic performance, he was awarded the prestigious Australian Psychological Society Prize. Beron was also the recipient of the competitive ECU International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Australia) for his outstanding research on improving cognition in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
In his last role, he worked as a clinical psychologist and research lead at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. His clinical expertise and warm and gentle personality led to numerous compliments from his patients and their families. In 2019, he was awarded KK Hospital service award in recognition of his excellent patient service. With a passion for helping individuals with chronic illnesses and their families, he led a team at KKH in establishing a first-of-its-kind evidence-based psychosocial support program for childhood cancer in Singapore. As a strong advocate for evidence-based practice, he authored gold-standard psychosocial care protocols for youth with cancer and their adult caregivers, which were adopted by KK Hospital. Beron was also frequently invited to review research articles by international journals.
In his previous role at KKH, his leadership led to academic publications in reputable journals, and clinical and research awards. Beron was instrumental in obtaining substantial funding to support clinical, research and education efforts in improving the standards of psychosocial care for individuals and families struggling with childhood cancers in Singapore.
Among other clinical skills, Beron is particularly fond of practising interpersonal psychotherapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing in his clinical work. His mottos in therapy are to provide unconditional positive regard and to give his utmost in every single moment of his time with his patients. He believes that a single moment of an appropriate gesture (e.g. a smile and eye contact) can make a difference to the lives of others.
In promoting youth mental health, Beron currently conducts mental health programs for tertiary students in Singapore. Furthermore, he is a mentor to undergraduate psychology students in Australia.

BIOGRAPHY
Even as a young child, Siti knew she wanted to be in the helping profession. She had friends who had been abandoned and abused, and really empathised with them.
Siti started her career as a social worker in the community before joining the healthcare sector where she spent most of her professional career. Her extensive experience included working with individuals, couples and families, supporting them through challenges associated with having chronic diseases, cancer, medical trauma, terminal care, end-of-life issues and bereavement. Part of this experience also include supporting survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and people struggling with mental health difficulties.
In Sengkang General Hospital, Siti set up and led her team of Medical Social Workers to provide psycho-emotional support to patients and their family at the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. She formed and delivered peer support and staff counselling service and was part of various internal and external workgroups to promote mental health and wellness for staff.
Being passionate about nurturing and empowering others, Siti is active in providing training and clinical supervision in areas such as breaking bad news, grief and loss, crisis and trauma, counselling and attending skills, managing difficult situations, Fundamentals in Clinical Education, WHO Psychological First Aid and self-care. She was part of the team that established the Advance Care Planning service in the hospital and trained numerous healthcare staff to be facilitators to conduct conversations with patients and families on their end-of-life healthcare choices.
Supporting others with medical trauma and end-of-life issues is Siti’s passion. She strongly believes in the importance of mental wellness at the workplace and integrates expressive arts as part of the healing process in her therapeutic approach.

Joanne is a highly experienced and passionate Principal Therapist, Master Social Worker, and award-winning educator with 23 years of experience at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
During her time at KK Hospital, she counselled and supported single mothers, youth-at-risk, survivors of sexual assaults and child abuse, couples with marital issues, women with mental health struggles, parents with parent-child conflicts and co-parenting struggles, and helped parents support children with special needs and oppositional defiant disorder.
Joanne was awarded a Ministry of Health scholarship to train at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (U.S.). A strong believer that parenting should and can be more joyful than tumultuous, she went on to establish the in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) services in KKH and is one of the only three certified and practicing PCIT therapists in Singapore. When parents experience success and feel empowered to manage their child’s trying behaviours, Joanne knows that she is at the heart of why she does what she does.
Joanne is equipped with Couples Therapy and Adolescent-based Family Therapy skills so that she can be holistic in supporting the parent-child relationship.
She was also awarded a scholarship to train in sexual assault and trauma management at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York (U.S.). Joanne is trained in crisis and trauma interventions (ICISF-trained) and has conducted staff counselling and group debriefing to staff after critical incidents.
To contribute to the growth and development of social workers in Singapore, Joanne was invited to sit on the committee for the Singapore Association of Social Workers and chairs the Training and Professional Development Committee.
In 2019, Joanne was awarded the prestigious Skillsfuture Fellowship Award. It was a national recognition of her professional expertise and learning pursuits.

Eve is a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist and Art Therapist with over 10 years of experience. Her journey began in the United Kingdom, where she completed her clinical training at the University of London’s acclaimed Goldsmiths College.
In London, Eve established a therapy department at the Orthodox Jewish day center, Kisharon, where she worked with adult males with various learning disabilities. She was also a key member of a multi-disciplinary therapy team within a mainstream school, helping adolescents from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Eve dedicated a significant part of her career to helping individuals with depression and anxiety as a clinician at the Mood Disorder Unit (MDU), a specialised department within the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). She provided therapy for people attending the outpatient clinic as well as those admitted to the wards.
Eve’s rigorous training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and art psychotherapy, along with her breadth of experience, has enabled her to provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She specialises in areas such as mood and anxiety difficulties, childhood trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal attachments, existential stress, and gender and sexuality issues. She also provides clinical supervision for young psychodynamic psychotherapists and art psychotherapists.

About Ryan
With over 15 years of experience supporting people with special needs, including autism and intellectual disability, Ryan has played an essential role in the lives of his clients and their families grappling with issues such as aggression, self-injury, gaming addiction, and OCD. He has also effectively collaborated with mainstream schools to assist children facing challenges like dyslexia and ADHD.
Currently, he is spearheading psychological intervention services as part of a special initiative between the Institute of Mental Health and Rainbow Centre, offering dedicated support to patients with complex needs, including severe autism, intellectual disabilities, OCD, and ADHD. His mission is to work closely with nurses and doctors to reintegrate these patients into schools, communities, or supported living environments. Additionally, he is a certified Trainer for Managing Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA, CPI) and leads crisis support services in schools.
As a Visiting Educational Psychologist at Private Space Medical, Ryan provides behaviour assessment and intervention support for people with special needs and their parents.
