BIOGRAPHY
Dr Tabitha Mok is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with over 15 years of clinical experience. In addition to her professional expertise, she is a devoted mother of three, a loving daughter, and a supportive wife. Dr Mok understands the joys and challenges of balancing personal and professional roles, and this lived experience allows her to bring warmth, patience, and a real-world perspective to her work.
Dr Mok completed her medical education and specialist training in Australia, where she trained in general psychiatry with a focused interest in perinatal and youth mental health. In 2020, she returned to Singapore and began practicing as a psychiatrist at Changi General Hospital. During her time there, she served as the Director of the Adolescent Psychiatry Service, the lead of the Youth Outreach Program, and the Associate Program Director of the National Psychiatry Training Program.
As Director of the Adolescent Psychiatry Service, Dr Mok provided clinical leadership and governance for the team, supporting them in managing both routine and complex adolescent cases. She also championed the Youth Outreach Program, recognizing the importance of helping students with mental health challenges reintegrate into a supportive school environment. This program allowed many students to successfully complete their education, while also providing school leaders with a deeper understanding of youth mental health.
Dr Mok is an accredited facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) program, an internationally recognized framework designed to help parents strengthen their attachment with their children. She has worked with many young parents, guiding them through evidence-based strategies that promote resilience and stronger family bonds.
Throughout her career, Dr Mok has also provided care for numerous National Service Full-time (NSF) servicemen, offering tailored support for the unique challenges they face during their service. This work has empowered many NSFs to feel understood and confident in navigating their challenges.
In addition, Dr Mok was a pioneering member of the multidisciplinary team specializing in gender dysphoria, working alongside endocrinologists, speech therapists, and clinical psychologists to provide comprehensive, gender-affirming care. She played a key role in shaping an integrated approach to care for adolescents and adults with gender dysphoria.
Dr Mok’s dedication to her patients goes beyond clinical expertise—she strives to be a compassionate and nurturing presence in their lives. She believes in leading with love, walking alongside her patients with warmth and patience as they navigate their mental health journeys. By fostering resilience, courage, and strength, she empowers individuals and families to overcome challenges and build a future grounded in hope and well-being. In doing so, she contributes to a culture of compassion and awareness, shaping a community where mental well-being is better understood, supported, and able to thrive.
